The Sims Medieval: Lost everything?

Hi everyone

I'm a big Sims Medieval fan and I recently downloaded the game back unto my new pc (Windows 8). As I could not play with the original discs anymore (a wellknown problem, so it seemed), I used Origin to re-install everything and that worked like a charm. I really like the fact that I don't have to fiddle with discs anymore.

I installed the Sims Medieval somewhere in February 2015. I installed it on my new computer, which uses a SSD and my old HDD (which holds all my old save games, from the Sims Medieval as well as The Sims 3). I sort of assumed that I would have to start over again and I was okay with that, because I wanted to re-do the quests. This was not the case and I could continue with my earlier games.

I enjoyed the game and was doing really well. Now, after a month of not playing, I wanted to give it another go. I opened Origin, installed the most recent update and started the game. And everything I had is gone... My start menu is blank and the game happily welcomed me to the Sims Medieval and explained me where to start. Eh?! This comes as a total surprise... I was really getting into it and I was kinda happy with the fact that I did not have to start over in February. Now it feels like I have to do just that again?

Any ideas? Can I get my original game(s) back? I have, since February done nothing special to either the SSD or the HDD...

I guess this is all in vain...

I went to check the folders on my SSD, which were all empty. I then checked the save folders on my old HDD, to see what was still left. Only old save games to be seen, from 2014 and beyond. I cannot find anything related to my game time in 2015.

I guess I'll have to start all over again... Not sure if it makes me sad or excited...

Nope, I can't see a thing. The folders are just empty. Yikes, how did that happen?
