    YES it was solved. All I had to do was delete the copy i installed from the disc I bought (pre-fix and pre-work around 64-bit only Windows 8). Since it was added to my library, I was able to download the fixed version.  I can and have played The Sims Medivil on Windows 8.

    Just do what their directions say http://help.ea.com/en/article/the-sims-medieval-and-windows-8-compatibility/

As someone who recently bought The Sims Medieval, which isn't exactly an old game, and is upgrading to Windows 8 soon, I was VERY dissapointed to learn that the game does not run in Windows 8.  As this is a relatively newer game, I would ask that you review  the issue causing it and patch the game to allow for Windows 8 compatibility.  I would love to pick up the xpack as well, but there ceases to be a point if it won't work.

Help me EA Games, you're my only hope!

I think it's a shame that we can't play The Sims Medieval because we have Windows 8 installed. PLEASE fix this problem!! The most of us has actually paid for playing this game and it doesn't feel good that it doesn't work!

So please, please, please, DO SOMETHING about it!
