@arecaceaepalmae , try deleting the Options.ini file found in Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims Medieval. Don't delete your trash after removing this from the game. It sounds like something was corrupted in your Options file and deleting the Options.ini should reset all of you your game options. Your saves will be fine.
