Trouble playing Sims Original on my windows 8

Hello,

I'm trying to play a Sims deluxe edition circa 2002 on my Window 8 computer. After completing the installation, I encountered the error message 'please login with administrator privileges and try again.' After following instruction to type 'sc config secdrv start= demand' into the command prompt, all I was given was another error message, 'startservice failed 1058'. The information online that I found to fix this all said that it was a simple clicking of easy anticheat to automatic in the services section of the control panel. My computer doesn't have this easy anticheat or something to do with rust files, so I can't change that. Is there something that I am missing? Or is it too old to be played on my computer? Thanks.
