Tv screen on Sims 2 Super Collection glitch
Hi, I’ve had a few problems with my Sims 2 Super Collection game on my mac. I went on it the other day and I went into Riverblossom Hills and it was working fine. The next day I went back onto Sims 2 Super Collection and it wouldn’t let me in Riverblossom Hills. The night before I relaunched my finder on my mac and I think it had something to do with that. I went into the Sims 2 Super Collection folder and I went into neighbourhoods but all the neighbourhoods were fine. Then I went into pleasantview on Sims 2 Super Collection on the day Riverblossom Hills wouldn’t let me in and it let me in pleasantview. Then the day after I went into Pleasantview, it wouldn’t let me in. It would just glitch me out the same it did with Riverblossom Hills. The only neighbourhood I had left was Veronaville because Strangetown glitched me out when I went into it. That happened to my Strangetown neighbourhood a long time ago. Veronaville is working fine for me. I also have another glitch. When my sims in Veronaville watch TV the TV just glitches like a static screen and it flashes and it annoys me. I don’t know why the TV glitches. I have cc in my game I don’t know if it’s corrupting my Riverblossom Hills and my Pleasantview neighbourhoods but I don’t think it’s corrupting them. Maybe the cc is corrupting my TV? I do not have any mods in my game what so ever because the last time I had a mod in my game for the first time, it went horribly wrong and it wouldn’t let me back into my household I played when the mod was installed. If you could really really help me, I would SO MUCH appreciate it! ☹️
@teddyswirl1 , sounds like something has become corrupted and we need to reset the game back to a "vanilla" state. Don't worry your CC and saved games will be fine.
First thing to do is to move your Sims 2 folder (found in your Library folder) to your Desktop. This is where your saved games are stored and they will be safe on your Desktop. Next start the game up and allow for a new Sims 2 folder to regenerate. Start up a new game remembering that none of your saved games or CC will be present at this time. Play for about an hour to make sure that everything seems to be working like normal. You can either quit and save or just plain quit. Either way is fine. You should then try to go back into the game and see if it will lt let you back into the neighborhood you choose to play in.
Please let me know if this seems to clear the issue. We can figure out where to go from here if this clears up the game locking up on each neighborhood.
