Any premades I keep in my game are heavily made over to keep the look consistent. I generally populate whatever town I am playing with sims of my making and made over premades.
I have been making over townies for years so I have lots of sims to choose from when populating a town from scratch so it's not so much work getting into a new save.
My issue with alpha sims in TS3 is generally a lot I've seen look like Bratz dolls (shiny skin, shiny nylon hair, pudgy head way too big for the body) unless the sliders are done just right. I know mine used to and I find them embarassing looking back at them, though I did play TS3 mostly between 14-19 with no sense of my own "style" yet. Yours are an example of TS3 sims being done right with alpha!
Though I am getting off topic here. Uhhh, yeah, so, unusual skins are pretty cool.
