Virus or Trojan

I just tried installing all of my Sims 2 games and expansion packs into my new computer and have had no problems with the game but when I tried installing the University Life Collection and the Mansion and Garden expansion pack  my Norton security rejected the dollars saying there was a Trojan virus called something like Ransomlock on each disk. How can I install them? They were not a problem in my old computer.  Some of the other questions on here sounded as if it was something that could be done with just technical support but I don't know how to do that.

    Well that wasnt much help.

We are installing our Mansion and Garden discs and our anti-virus software is freaking out saying that the game disc is infected and making it so we cant install it.

My norton has the virus , i will send it to them to be tested and see if it really is one, if it is then i guess EA sent out Virus infecdted dics for people to install on their pc.

Is this the first time you install it ? I doubt there is a virus and if you had it installed before, a DVD can't suddenly have a virus on it, since you can't write on it.

I'd say it's a false positive and you'll need to check with your Anti Virus how you can put the file on the safe list to install anyways.
