If you are trying to add the "I-LOVE-THE-SIMS" code, this code expired in July 2014, you won't be able to get the game for free anymore.
If you are trying to register the game with a product code from a cd box for example, you can try to contact a game advisor to add the game to your account : http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/?product=the-sims-2
