What are the system requirements for The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection?

Well, for some reason Origin is not letting me download it.

Type in The Sims 2 and it'll tell you if you can run it or not.

So far I've heard Macs don't work and certain WIndows 8 users (including myself) are having issues, but a lot people are coming up with fixes for them.
