I didn't buy Sims 4 because it did not have the open worlds. I mean it was also cheaply made and lacked swimming pools, toddlers, cars, and a whole bunch of other stuff too, but the no open world thing, that was a deal breaker. I've been playing sims since Sims 1 and each generation is supposed to be better than the last. Emotions was the thing they advertised TS4 on, and I've been playing with them since it became free to play. It isn't that cool. We had moodlets and a single "emotional" scale in TS3 too.
Color Wheel was already practically confirmed in the demo they gave at the one expo. That I'd consider a near tie to the open worlds thing, but since it's confirmed, I'll vote for Open Worlds.
I'd also like to trumpet what others have said. If this version is missing components that we usually get in base game, most of us will just go over to your newest competitors to see what they have to offer. Yeah, you heard me right. EA now has competition in the Life Sim Game Genre. It's all over You-Tube.
