I have played sims 2 and 4 with sending sims to university and enjoyed them both. I preferred dorm life (with stoves) and the secret society with the secret lot in sims 2. Sims 4 has the big advantage that the university is not separated from the rest of the world's. Students can live anywhere and combine studies with family life or a work from home job. This is a huge advantage over Sims 2.
