@waterb0ttles , so you can't get past the loading screen? Are you playing through Origin or from disk? Have you downloaded and used Graphics Rule Maker to insure that your graphics card is recognized by the game? Just asking questions so we can get up and running.

@waterb0ttles , let's try this first and see if it solves the problem. I'm not sure if the Sims 2 folder has any CC/Mods in it, but we'll go ahead and set the game back to a vanilla state. Locate your Sims 2 folder (found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) and move the folder to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut, actually move the folder to your Desktop. Next, start up your game and see if it will play ok.
Please let me know if you can play after do this. If the game does start up, play for about a hour and make sure it seems to run ok.

@waterb0ttles , ok sounds like you need to uninstall and reinstall the game. Make sure that you have the 4GB patch since the disks will no longer automatically update, Graphics Rule Maker to add your graphics card information to the game and turn off your firewall.
If you need any help installing the game, again please respond and we'll get it all sorted. 🙂
