Will it be open world
I loved The Sims 3 and a big part of that was because of the open world (I actually didn’t buy the Sims 4 because it wasn’t there but now it’s free…) So I’m wondering if this game will have one or no...
@PugLove888Yes. For me, it would be a step beyond Sims 2/ Sims 4 in that we can press the map button and "zoom out" to see the whole neighborhood *without* a loading screen. you can't do that in both games.
Note it would *not* be a stylized 2D picture of a neighborhood but more like a Sims 3 world in 3D
*Unlike* Sims 3, the whole world wouldn't be simulated. This causes massive problems...it's not optimized! I think splitting the game in sections, or districts as I call them, where it's simulated makes the most sense. Kind of like Sims 2 where you go to a community lot and you have Sims that are generated from object data to exist in that lot. This would happen but instead of a lot, it would be a section of the neighborhood.
That would be my ideal simulation game.
@Anonymous , it sounds like I would like that as well, if I'm understanding you correctly! The reason I hated TS3's open world is that my Sim would often go to a community lot and nobody would be there.😓 I would stay for hours and nobody would come, especially at night, which was difficult for my Sims who worked a shift that was like 3 pm to 11 pm! 😠😠 Because it was after work that I would have them try to socialize. By the time another Sim would show up, my Sims would be so exhausted that I would have to have them go home! 🤦♀️😢 I tried getting them up early and have them socialize then, before work, but then I would sometimes run intio the same problem and wouldn't find someone to talk to before work and then their needs would be depleted going to work! 😣
The only thing I liked the open world for was searching for rocks and bugs 🥳... I'm not counting seeds because they were so tiny they were near impossible to find unless you and your Sim were right upon them! 🔎😫 I was so glad TS4 ditched finding seeds in the wild!😅
Yes, I agree that districts would be much more manageable for most computers! 😎
@jonathanemptage , Exactly! 🥰
