Will Sims 2 work on my new laptop

I just bought a new laptop, the Hp Spectra x360, i7 core, windows 10, 8gb ram - to be exact. On my previous computer i have played Sims 3 with minimal issues, but I miss sims 2, and want to download it onto my new laptop. Before doing this, however, I want to know if it will destroy my new baby (lol). Can anyone help me out with this? It is such an old game, and I feel like it would destroy this new tech because of compatibility issues. Please, anyone! 🙂

Edit: I saw the other sims 2 windows 8 questions that have been answered. They have been helpful, but my case is a little different. I dont have any saved sim files on either laptop because I uninstalled them years ago for sims 3. If someone can answer my question above, I will then go and buy a CD Disk (external port) for my laptop in order to download the disks onto it.

    Hi @LovePink124,

The Sims 2 may have some compatibilities issues with Windows 10, specially if you going to install the game from CDs / DVD. Those discs use a technology called SecuROM which is not fully supported by Windows 10 and you may face some issues. The game will probably play, but some issues should be expected.

Also please keep in mind that The Sims 2 is a game from 2004 and current technology is way more advanced than what the game is expected to be played on, so you may also have graphic issues or poor performance. Your new laptop shouldn't be damage for installing and playing The Sims 2 on it.
