Will Sims 5 have different kind of expansions? (If Sims 5 will ever be)

@Leaselmary well it was rumored that sims 5 might use some multiplayer gamemodes, according to the ea ceo. we don't know if it's true though and there are no details either.
also, in the launch of the ps5 the sims 5 was listed as one of the games that would be released on it, which means it may be in development.
whether sims 5 will work or not for us we can just speculate because there is nothing 100% confirmed for now
