Will there be a sims 2 DS sequel?

I had A LOT of fun with the sims 2 DS game. I was wondering if there was a sequel or a plan for a sequel to be made.

@ZSGYT , I doubt it. EA has no plans at this time to remaster or re-release Sims 2 on any format (PC/Console).
