Windowed Mode TS2 ?

I have The Sims 2 Double Deluxe (windows 7) and I've tried putting the game in windowed mode. I copied/pasted the shortcut to my desktop, right clicked > properties > shortcuts, and the target area is greyed out so I can't enter the -w. I then looked to see if there was an option to send to my desktop instead, as I read somewhere that could affect my ability to change that, but there is no option to do so.

  • There are two things I did that helped me in this. First of all I didn't use the launcher.exe but the game.exe directly. For Double Deluxe search for a file named  Sims2SP4.exe

Right-click on the file and then choose the "Send to... Desktop (create shortcut)" option. You should see this icon on your desktop after that:

After that you should be able to add -w in the properties as you can see here:

Make sure to have a space between the last " and the -w though!
