Ive had the same problem, the trick that gets me by each time is that I start up the game, connect to EA BY PRESSING Y. Then it takes me to that same page that says i need an online pass. I press purchase code. It tells me I already purchased a code and to download the pass. I click download, it downloads supposedly in less than one minute, i Press CONTINUE. THEN it still says can't connect to EA SO I CLICK THE WHITE XBOX BUTTON X at the center of the controller.. go to the left click on MY GAMES. Then I click on THE SIMS game, and when I return BOOM IM AUTOMATICALLY SIGNED INTO EA GAMES ONLINE PASS THE EXCHANGE. No code or purchase needed!
