Age Screen slider bar does not work

so i am trying to enter my age in the enter your age screen of The Sims FreePlay at the beginning of the game i have tried deleting the game and reinstalling the game, turning off my phone and closing the app all of the did not work and i would really like to play this game please someone help me if this is happening to others or if this is happening to just me
