The Sims FreePlay download error stuck at 95%
Hello EA Support, I need help with The Sims FreePlay on iOS. Device: iPhone 11 Platform: iOS Storage available: 14 GB free The game downloads normally, but it always gets stuck at the final stage: Download stops at 95% Installing shows 99% Error message appears: “Download Error – Something happened with your download” Retry restarts the loop and returns to 95–98% Sometimes it stays on “Download Paused” I have already tried: Deleting and reinstalling the game Restarting the iPhone Using different Wi-Fi networks Waiting several hours and retrying once Ensuring enough storage space The issue always happens at the same point (95–99%), so it seems the final download package may be corrupted or not validating correctly on the server side. Could you please reset or refresh the download package linked to my account, or advise how to force a clean final download? Thank you for youDownload error HELP!!!!
I haven’t logged into my Sims app in 259 weeks. It says I need to download updates to the game. I have been trying to do it and troubleshooting all day but every single time I get this download error page please can someone help me with how to fix this. I’ve done everything from offloading to restarting my phone to deleting the app to checking different Wi-Fi’s and nothing works. Someone please help. I just really want to play again and have built myself a great world.

Two weeks ago I was updating my Sims FreePlay and then it kept on giving me a notification that said something happened with your download, it has stopped. So I uninstalled the game from my iphone and then I reinstalled it and then I have had trouble accessing the cloud. So the only option I have now is to restart the game from scratch or keep re-trying. It is so annoying because it keeps on saying download failure and it always stops on 95%. It can only download 601MB out of 627MB. I have enough storage on my iphone, I have great uncapped Wi-Fi and signal, I’ve even tried someone else’s Wi-Fi and mobile data. I have reinstalled the game multiple times and I have restarted my device several times. I am really upset that there is nothing I can do, so if you guys have any tips please let me know🫶🏻

Once you've got the necessities included, the next step is adding your new friends. How you ask? We got you covered!! Read on... How do I add friends? Currently (June of 2020) the only way to have friends in The Sims FreePlay (SFP) is FaceBook (FB), Game Center (GC) or Google Play (GP). Before I go into the how's, please be aware of the following: As FaceBook and Game Center includes disclosing personal information, I do not recommend ❌posting links to your FB account, ❌your phone number or ❌email on this WORLD WIDE OPEN forum. It is not safe for you. Google Play players can safely ✔️ post their nicks. **Note: When it comes to me, I'm afraid my Party Boat is full which means I can't accept any more connections. I'd ask members NOT to send me a DM about adding you as a result but thanks in advance for wanting to connect. FaceBook Add them as friends on FB and they'll soon be at your Party Boat. I recommend that you join a closed FB group for SimsFreePlay Log into FB and search for "SimsFreePlay" and choose a group (or more) that you think suits you Choose a closed one, ask to become a member, the point is so that random (non gaming) people can not send you request (or spam you with illicit junk) and those from your group, you can vet them by looking at their profiles and if they behave inappropriate, you can report them to the Group Admin and of course block them. Game Center (iOS users) Go to settings on your device (not in the game) Scroll down to Game Center Select add friend Enter phone number/email or choose from your contact list For a visual guide, click on the spoiler tag below Google Play (Android users) Open Google Play app Go to your profile, bottom right Swipe so you get the Friend menu Enter nickname to send out an invite For a visual guide, click on the spoiler tag below Social Point Houses and Neighbours Many have a Social Point (SP) house, specifically build for the neighbours to do tasks. I will list what items you need in your SP house and some things to take into consideration, if you'd like to build one. 🙂 SP House Objects and Items you need Note: I will not list objects that can not be placed in a normal house, like the Snowboard in the Snow Park or the Fishing rod at the Park and Deer Falls Spring Hobby Helper and hobby Objects If you want to be a really good neighbour, you can help out with the hobbies as well. To EA Support / The Sims Team, I am writing to express my thoughts regarding the shutdown of the Sims mobile. By deleting that game, you have removed our only mobile option for diverse body customization, leaving us with the Sims Freeplay which completely lacks these features. I request that you bring the body customization features from the Sims mobile or The Sims 4 into the Sims Freeplay. Mobile players want the ability to choose different heights, weights, and shapes. Upgrading the camera angles and adding body sliders is essential to keep the mobile community engaged. Please consider modernizing the Sims Freeplay so mobile players are not left behind.Senior sim limitation
Please consider giving senior sims access to more pink activities. It gets boring keeping sims in adult form forever just because senior sims have limited actions. Senior sims have limited hobbies already, but now they get cool event items and still not enough activities to expand. Please consider in a future update!!No previous cloud
My long-term The Sims FreePlay save file was accidentally overwritten by a new Level 1 game due to a Facebook sync error. Both my Facebook and Apple cloud menus now show "no cloud save available" and only load the new, empty town. My history is not completely lost because all my original achievements are still visible in my Apple Game Center. I have a verified in-app purchase from January 20, 2024, with order ID(receipt attached). This purchase belongs to my original, high-level town. Anyway to get this back?Suggestion
Ok so like I love the game alot but there a few things that are missing like more jobs giving Sims the same job over and over again is getting a little bit boring and other labels should be created not just mom and dad like uncle,Aunt, cousin and so on and is it only when Sims are old that they can die why not through drowning as well not only for older Sims and I'll really appreciate it if Sims can get sick. And please the cheering after Sims complete an action is really annoying how can you get slapped and still be cheering after wards it just doesn't make sense.and I also feel Sims should be able to give birth in the hospital and not while standing at home even if they were to give birth at home can it not be like a water birth or something at least for the game to be realistic come on standing while giving birth. Their should also be new styles created for the Sims that can be accessed through the mall and not just through events what if some of us miss those events then what will happen.What sims freeplay is missing?
Well as a fan of the franchise there a few things that’s is missing from the game, to make it a great game for story telling and not lack in the fundamentals value of the base game. •A gallery to share content •More personality (traits) •weight changes and different body type •more face •tattoo’s •moodlet and emotion •multitask •fast forward button •Dream and goals based of personality •And sims story progression for other while you away of game •sims move and do thing on there own that aren’t your current sim that you are control on lot •clothing layer •Make multiple characters for household in beginning and have relationship title in beginning •Different walks and voice for characters •multiple outfit like sleepwear everyday wear formal party e.t.c •Be able to build on lots other then are house •more way to die in game •build on lots that aren’t your sims home •sims appear on lot that you aren’t controlling .Player Experience Feedback
1) you should update the options on the baby bumps Store! Every update, we complete a pregnancy event, earn the coins and there is nothing left to spend it on! Maybe bring back some of the pregnancy packs or add new items. Having that amount of coins and nowhere to spend it is a waste! 2) it would be really nice to add a new age range, something like 5-9 yo. It doesn’t make sense a toddler jumping to pre teen. 3) cooking should not be a hobby, every sim should be able to cook at their home. 4) add more professions like veterinarian, dentist, lawyer, journalist... 5) we need different body sizes and shapes!!A Body types update
Hello everyone. Today, I want to address the frustrating reality of The Sims FreePlay. For over a decade, we have been asking for basic body diversity—slims, curves, and muscular shapes. Every time, we receive the exact same outdated excuses: the game engine is too old, animations will clip, and older phones can't handle it.But it is 2026. The Sims Mobile is gone, and those excuses simply don't hold up anymore.First, let's talk about hardware. The myth of the 'older phone' is busted. Most players have upgraded to modern devices, and the game already runs poorly on ancient phones due to a decade of bloated items. Stop holding the entire community back to cater to technology from 2011.Second, let's talk about animation clipping. EA claims body shapes will cause Sims to fuse into chairs or each other. But look at games like IMVU. Those platforms proved years ago that players gladly accept minor visual clipping as a fair trade-off for true self-expression. Besides, our Sims already glitch through walls and furniture right now! Perfection is a lazy excuse for a lack of effort.The solution is simple: Upgrade the engine, invest the budget, and give us the sliders. If you can completely overhaul facial graphics and gender-neutral hair, you can fix the bodies. We buy the VIP points, we play the events, and we keep this game alive. We deserve to see ourselves reflected in our Sims. No more recycled clothing textures. No more excuses. Please give us body types !
