Is there any objects in the way? Flowers?
How close to the door is it?
Do you have a picture of it?
Have you tried moving it, to see if they can go through it at all?
I moved it, to an empty lot my sims still cannot move through it, instead opting to walk around it. The video of my attempts won’t upload for some reason
I honestly dont know if youre suppose to be able to walk trough them,
Im failing with the rustic white arbour.
Ive seen pics with sims under a wedding arbour but I dont have that nor do I plan to have a wedding soon
@martha4858 Do you know?
I didn’t know the answer either, so I did a little experiment. I put the arbour out on a lot by itself - each sim would walk around it. Then I went to my lot where I have one with a house - each time the sims walked through the arbour. The difference was that there were fence or bushes on either side of the arbour. Walking through the arbour has to be their only choice to get to the other side.

@HarliGirlCan you post a picture. I don’t have a rustic arbor with a garden at my farm house

I can't walk thru the first two pics, but the side arbors I can. I tried moving them back all alone but no go.
You sim may not have enough room to walk through. Put the four things I’ve circled somewhere in the yard and then have your sim walk through the arbor. If that is successful then put those items back one at a time, having your sim walk through each time.
- HarliGirl7 years agoNew Traveler@martha4858 I tried what you said but it didn't work. I also tried moving the arbor to the middle of the yard with nothing near it, but that didn't work. I am not getting the usual icon with the foot prints and the Sims don't say no. When I try to make them walk under the arbor I cannot even tap under it and make an arrow indicating to walk to this spot. It's like a dead zone. The Sims walk fine under the same arbors that I have on each side of the house. The side arbors can't be moved because they are not in the grid of things that can be moved or put in inventory. I was going to switch them to try something an experiment. Sorry for the long post, just trying to give you all the info I can.
Other than the arbors that come with the original house it appears that any arbor you place is purely decorative. I built two fenced areas and my sim would not go through, even in the one I built around her.
