dying update

I am not happy at all about my Sims aging and dying. I've spent a lot of time and real money playing this game. So now I will have to start over leveling up in hobbies and jobs? I have also customized some Sims with LP using real money. So I will loose that too?

Everyone please sign the petition and tell EA you've worked too hard on your Sims and if you wanted them dead you would move them out of town.

Has anyone seen the grim reaper in their town? He's hanging out grilling burgers at the home of one of my seniors and I'm afraid he's going to take her before she can finish all of the quilting needed for the chair.

I'd like to decide when to delete a sim not allow the game to do it.

Agreed. I have spent too much time customizing sims using lp to match their homes, cars, pets, jobs, hobbies, etc. Build relationships and families...for it all to be reset as they all die. I do not mind doing the legacies quest with new sims added to the town but forcing us to do this with sims we've worked years on is ridiculous. I'd rather they shut down the game conpletely like they did with the fb version versus killing off our sims. Platinum orbs take at least four life cycles to create just one. In the meantime, my 24 sims would've died. That is not acceptable. Luckily I have not done the quest yet and do not plan to. Saving up as much lp as I can to help stem off the deaths if I ever do start this quest...but I dont know the time tavles and how much lp I would need to save at least half of my current population.

If you guys can, I would also suggest reverting back to an old saved version of the game from your cloud. If possible and available.

I miss my original sims. I have no attachment now. This should be a break from reality, not a reinactment. That volcano thing was such a disappointment and every update since has just been worse and worse. Just plugging away. It's not fun anymore. I hope for better.

I am an Android user of the Sims Freeplay. After the updatr with Carnivals, my connection to the Party Boat has been disabled. It takes so much time to take a failed attempt. In addition to the previous problem, I have another complaint to make. The carnival hobbies take too much time to raise the experience level. Juggling has a 45-second delay, and the Punch Machine goes up a mere 1% per every time finished. I have one final thing to say. I insist that EA starts answering in Korean too, as there are millions of fans of the Sims series and the FIFA series in Korea. I hope you read this well.
  • If you don't complete the quest before this one (In Stiches) so you don't unlock the "Life Dreams and Legacies" then your Sims wont age. If you bought hairstyles, clothes, eye colour, etc. at the salon, costume store or sunset mall then you wont lose it, but you got the "Ultimate Makeover" then when the Sim dies it will be gone. Good luck and I also hate this update! Come on EA, give us an ageing off button!

  • Don't you guys know you can stop the aging process with a platinum orb. You just go to the age controller click on the pause button and then assign them the orb. I currently have 24 sims from baby to elderly who no longer age.

Thanks so much for the info. What level does this quest come up ?

  • This is the same quest that starts the aging process, the life dreams quest. You will have the option to assign a life dream to your sim and create an orb. The orbs start at bronze and then as each sim ages and dies you assign the orb to the next sim to create a silver orb, and so on through gold and then finally to platuim. When I did this I created mule sims just to get through the orbs. You can also use the orbs to build things like the beach, the animal park, etc. the web site www.girlwhogames.com has a lot of information on this and other quests.

It takes a long time to get a platinum orb.  If you have a sim you want to keep with no aging, you can reset them back to the beginning of the age cycle they are in until you have a platinum orb.  This costs LP each time you reset.  I don't know if there is a limit on how many times you can reset a Sim's life cycle.  I have never done it more than once for any Sim.

http://www.girlwhogames.com/ has a posting about how to get lots of LP, one way is with multiple Sims doing the cooking hobby.  This works pretty well.  I have gained over 100 LP in less than three days with 6 cooks.
