Re: The Sims FreePlay Suggestions & Feedback, 2026-27
Dear The Sims FreePlay Support Team,
I am a long-time, player of The Sims FreePlay. Recently, I have been trying to progress through various events, but I am facing significant balancing issues that are deeply hurting the gameplay experience. I am writing this in the hope that you can look into these mechanics and improve them for the community.
First, regarding Social Points (SP) and the Neighbor/Cruise missions: with recent updates, new houses have been added to the neighbor towns that I am not familiar with. Many of these missions are impossible to complete because the neighboring houses lack the basic items or furniture required to perform the actions. This makes earning SP feel completely out of reach.
Second, I have been trying very hard to win the "SimChase" events. However, I’ve noticed a major issue with the "Kam Ham / Master 2-Cent / Know-All" character interactions. As my level increases, the Simoleon cost to interact with this character becomes excessively high. It drains all of my hard-earned in-game currency before I even reach the halfway point of the event.
Yesterday, I finally made it to the final episode with high hopes of winning. However, because the interaction required more Simeleons than I had left, I was completely blocked from finishing. It is incredibly frustrating to spend days of effort and lose everything at the very last moment just because of a massive currency wall. While Life Points (LP) are balanced and can be earned in many fun ways (hobbies, driving, etc.), Social Points and SimChase events feel heavily gated behind microtransactions.
As a free-to-play player who does not wish to spend real-world money, I strongly believe the game should reward time and strategy fairly, rather than imposing impossible Simoleon drains. I truly hope you will consider balancing the Simoleon scaling for SimChase and ensuring that neighbor tasks are achievable. Thank you for your time and for continuous updates to the game. Best regards.
