multi story renovations quest won't finish

i'm in the multi story renovations quest - craft 1st set of woodworking items. My sims have board with nail, pine oakio, lil ole smokey, 2 bit wooden hammer, simcity turbine replica and sammy splint...

I got the same problem... And I spent many LPs to finish this quest on time.. ToT

    It finally started working when I finished the second set of woodworking things! Needless to say I DID NOT finish on time! Very frustrating, but at least I'm not stuck anymore
