Put out fire in a neighbors oven social task

I have completed the social task: put out fire in a neighbors oven 3 different times.  Every time the oven caught fire and I put the fire out in my neighbors house.  But the task will not go away.  I...

You really don't need to complete the social tasks to play the game. My suggestion is, if you don't want to use LPs (which I don't recommend) to complete the task, then you can just leave it until you level up to a point when you can make brownies. The task will just stay until you get to it. You can still earn Social points by watching the daily video ads.

    I am able to use brownies and it still will not go away. It's an anoyance thing now. I've put out multiple fires at neighbor houses. Ones that I've had the Sims that live their start and ones I've had a visiting Sim start, either way this blasted social quest will not freaking go away.
