Sim FreePlay : can the baby be left at home alone?

So I just started playing The Sims Free play which is alot different from my older Sims Computer Game. So I have a baby who does not cry and basically would sleep all day if I wanted it to do that. So my question is can the baby be left at home alone since it doesn't cry and just have the mother take care of it when she comes home?
