Though, know that Chromebook is not an approved platform, Support might not be able to replicate your issue and thus will not be able to help. They do not have any obligation to help you since it is about an unauthorised platform but they will probably try

  • I don't know if anyone ever gave you a real answer for your issue.  I also play on a Chromebook, and I've been talking to one of the SimGuru's on Twitter.  We've been trying to figure this out with the devs.  They don't think the Chromebooks will be able to work with the new lighting for right now, and the tutorial has a bug in it that messes with Chromebooks.  Unless you can get them to reset it for you, you are stuck until the next update.  I'm trying to get mine reset, but so far it hasn't work, so whatever they thought the reset was didn't work.  It stinks because I've missed out on all of the events since this update.  As for Chromebooks not being supported, this is the 1st I'm hearing about it, and the Guru didn't say anything about that to me.  This is my first time having issues with the game on my Chromebook, though mine is one of the higher-end ones - or was in 2022, and it still has pretty good specs compared to a lot of today's machines.  Anyway, here is what SimGuruAmelia told me on Twitter.  The tweets are in reverse - and I know it's X, but I refuse to call it that.   Just know you are not alone in this.  There are a lot of us who are affected by this issue.
