Sims Free play constant crashing

After updating my iPhone recently the sims free play app continuously crashes. I have tied closing the app completely from home screen, not performing so many tasks at once, and many other in game options. While it worked ok a for a few days after the update now I can not get anything done. I can only assume that the app is no longer compatible with the newest iPhone update. Will a new update to fix this problem be coming soon? It's Would be really nice to get an official response to this problem as I have read many other sites where people are experiencing the same thing with no official response. Thank you
