Mine got stuck after the teen update. You do not have to reset your game! The neighbor were I was stuck was a Facebook friend. I logged out of Facebook in the option part that has the symbol that looks like the keyhole. Then closed my game and reset it (I have an iPad). When I reopened Sims I was at my neighbors place. It shut down right away. But when I went back and opened it, I was in my own town. I was then able to go to my neighbors place and retrieve my sims. Then logged back into Facebook and saved my game to the cloud.
Oh justsuern thank you thank you thank you thank you!! I just finished the Teen Idol quest when my Sim got stuck at the neighbours' and I honestly hadn't backed up to the Cloud OR my computer in months and months - I was totally panicking that I'd have to re-set and that I'd lose my whole progress. I followed your advice (in my case it was a Game Centre neighbour's house but I logged out of both Facebook AND Game Centre just to be certain) and voila, PERFECT. I am so SO grateful!!!!

I not been able to play as it keeps closing on load in hear the sounds of the usual cheers and that that's when it shuts down. I have tried to open it 3 or 4 times same issue. And I only just started the event very early this morning now I just unable to play it any more period. Please fixed I miss my Sims 😢

Did'nt work for me. I had this sim stuck out of town for over 70 days. Fire monkey can't fix it and I tryed everything. I've been playing with that sims stuck all this time. Maybe it because I'm on a kindle fire. Wish I could get my sim home.
- I'm so cunfused. I'm doing the Romantic Island quest and to get more sp, I sent my preteen to a neighbor's town to get some. I left the town with my sim still there and now I can't get her back. It's been almost a day and just just want her back in my town. But, whenever I go to my sim tracker and tap on her, my game turns off. I read a lot of things and they all say reset and that scares me because I had sims for 4 years! This has happened to me before and I waited for the next update and I was able to get him back but I can't wait another update because one just came out and it may be months until a new one comes. Some please help. I'm panicking right now.
- I had same thing, stuck in town and crashed than after awhile I was back in my town but now I go.to visit town and I click on the friends house and crashes instantly! I can't do anything until I do this , any suggestions?
- Hey try deleting your game cache. This worked for me !
I just had this issue tonight. I hadn't been to a neighbor in weeks because the task needed an item my neighbors didn't have. Today I finally decided to skip it, and then two tasks in, stuck.
For some reason logging the game out of Facebook and logging back in freed my stuck Sim.
The downside is the game still keeps crashing when I try to go to a neighbor, so once again I guess I can't get social points the old fashioned way.
