Sims FreePlay - basement quest error

If you have access to the make out couch in the home furniture store you can place the couch in a home and get 2 sims to use it. It allowed me to continue the quest but didn’t solve my problem about using the basement stair at the diy home

As of yesterday, there should be a new update available on your App Store / Google Play Store that covers problematic stairs across Sims FreePlay. Could you try updating and seeing how the trip down to the basement works after that?

AH  I'm really scared as still have lots of discovery quests to do and want to do them soon and not wait for the stupid bug to be sorted I would love to win the new fit house this bug had to come and ruin it PLEASE note ea  or firemonkys STARIGHT AWAY as I can't deal with this any longer lots of love J

For those who didn't get the Make Out Couch as a reward for the previous quest, it's available to buy in the Home Store.

You can use it to get around this bug.

As of today, 2019, Mar 24, I did a full update and this bug still exists for me but I got around it by placing my own Make Out Couch.

my sims are refusing to go down to the basement of the diy home please help
