Sims Freeplay Music is low, and fades out.

Hi, just reporting a bug here with the Sims Freeplay, after downloading the newest Christmas 2024 update. The Music from stereos/record players etc, starts low and then completely fades out. Can’t hear it. So it looks like the Sims are dancing to nothing. Hopefully it can be fixed with a mini update? 

I’m an old player, so I don’t know if it’s just affecting players with older 10+ games. 

There’s also been other issues like logging on to the party boat, people have had their sims make-up/eyebrows changed. Etc etc.

  • It would be helpful to know on what device this was happening, make, model, OS or if you have tried other devices and if it is the same on those

    And what trouble shooting steps you have done, restart device and/or game, reinstalled game, switched connections/WIF, log out and inI?

    Not sure if any EA/Firemonkey people besides moderators (not support) frequent this forum at all

    Better to post on the Official Discord or contact support

    At least if you want EA/Firemonkesy to know about it - if you only want to inform other players, this is the place

    @minicha-em I contacted them through the game too but nobody has got back to me yet.. But I just thought I’d post here as well, do you know if Sims Freeplay will have an account on BlueSky? It’s hard to know how to contact “developers”, as someone else on Reddit, also has this issue and asked if I’d contacted them, I did through the game, but don’t know the best option.

    Anyway, I’m on a iPad mini 4 (can’t afford to update to a new iPad yet), iOS15.8.3 I’ve only got the game on this device. I haven’t restarted my iPad, can’t really reinstall the game, not today anyway, as wifi at home is abysmal (2mbps, but it’s enough to actually play the game still), I have to go out, 5 miles+ away to log in to wifi elsewhere to update the game now.

    I guess I’ll have to join Discord then…

    I don't think they're on BlueSky (yet) but they are on X, insta and FB, links at the bottom of the page

    do you konw if the others with the same issue are also on Apple devices running on iOS 15?

    I'm guessing you can't update iOS to 16, 17 or 18

    It would be nice if this could be narrowed down to a specific maker (Apple) and iOS (iOS15.x.x)

    or if this is a wider issue effecting Androids and Fire too

    @minicha-em Good news, a restart of the iPad has seemed to fix the issue, for me anyway, I’ll let those on Reddit know too. Though someone said they had restarted and it hadn’t fixed it. I’m not sure what their device is. I’ll ask.
    No, I sadly can’t update this iPad any further, it received its last ever iOS updates this year. I’d like to get a new iPad mini at some point. I have a Samsung Tab too, which is newer, I’ll have to move my game on to there if Apple updates the requirements (and I haven’t managed to get a newer one).
