no so the thing is that there is a vip sim and i NEED to help it in order for a new vip sim to come but my sims are not qualified enough to help the first one. therefore, i cannot get passed the second badge
One of your sims must be able to help the VIP, not necessarily the one who needs the badge but one of your sims must qualify otherwise you wouldn't have gotten the task in that room - unless you've demoted one of your professionals or have not yet unlocked the room required
Let's say you have 2 movie studio professionals, A (actor) and D (Director)
If A needs a VIP to complete a badge, D can preform the task and as long as A is active on the shift, A will get credited for the VIP and it will count towards As badge
If A is not on the shift while D preforms the task, it will not count towards the badge
The partially helped VIP or any other partially helped sim will go away to make room for new sims in need of help, it may take a day or a week, I still haven't figured it out but sooner or later the partially sim will go away
I'm not explaining this well I guess. Ok, I have too many sims that need help at a professions location, and each one of them has a few tasks I can do, they are green so I can do them. Then each of them has one task that is not green, and when I tap there it will either say I need to build a room to do that or I need a sim of a certain level to do that. Since I couldn't help any of them anymore I had the maximum number of sims that needed help that would fit in that location. I think I figured out that I can just wait until their next shift and new sims that need help would be there. But I also have the problem of my sims not registering that they did the task to get to the next level if I exit the game and don't play again until after their shift is done. It only registers if I finish helping with all of a sims tasks in the time of their shift still going.
The Badges clearly state the the requirements must be met within ONE shift - progress on the badge will NOT be saved when you start a new shift
If you've done the requirements and exited the rest of the shift, not finishing early, it should still award you the badge when time's up
Badges takes a long time to earn, since you do not always get the people to help that have the right resource within the shift
I took +20 shifts for my last badge because what I needed never showed up during the shift
