What’s going on with sims freeplay

Since doing the update I cannot stay on the game for more than a minute and it boots me off and back to my homescreen ! Feel relieved it’s not just me but getting to the point where I’m about to delete the whole thing cos it’s so frustrating! Does anyone know if they are doing anything to fix the problem?
