People might be feel better about Moola if they can earn some as rewards in regular game events and as a rare reward from time capsules when we mine for crystals. I know some will see it as further marketing enticement and manipulation, but it might bring more engagement to events and searching the neighborhood for crystals and other collectables.
I think if they give us free moola it would be a one off to entice us to buy more, and/or from events.
I think there is a chance they might do this.
I'm okay with getting Moola as a reward in events (more useful than the potions they give us) but I'd really rather not be digging for collectables in my regular gameplay and end up with Moola instead. That would be even more disappointing than getting yet another Buddy out of the Time Capsules
In the Sims 3 Store, they often would offer us to watch these short adds to help us earn Simpoints to purchase stuff for free. I loved that! Wish they would offer that here, but I don't see it happening much... if it does happen it'll only be a one-time thing. EA is only offering 30% for creators... that right there says a lot.
I am not suggesting that we can earn loads of Moola, just enough to be pleasantly surprised that we have enough to get a free item. Perhaps about the rate that we receive free items from EA. The main benefit is that you can actually chose what you want rather than have something given to you that you may or may not like.
They really need to bump that up. 40% at the least. 50/50 would be nice and giving them 60% would be generous. Perhaps give Creators bonus incentives for quality content and fair pricing.
I think being able to earn Moola would be a good incentive to play, without missing out on content because of timing. It seems like it would encourage playing the game, just like event rewards do. I know speaking to my kids that some games they play allow you to earn money to spend the more you play. It sounds like a good principle. And like someone mentioned you could pick what you want. I would love to see some hair style packs….
I feel like the least we could get is some Moola for each of the packs/DLC we own and have spent money on to spend in the marketplace. The cold launch feels like a punch to the gut tbh.

I agree, I would like if we could get some Moola from the events. They likely wouldn't give us a lot, but at least enough for one or two maker kits would be nice.
Personally, I think that some of the maker kits look well done and I would love to have them in my game (provided they don't bring any bugs along with them). However, I personally want to avoid buying anything in the marketplace since I find it quite predatory and I don't agree with some of the practices (or the buyout).
Honestly 2014 players should get free Moola :
$120 - $15 (3 free kits when released) = $105, Maxis could give us 2600 Moola ($25) at least for 12 (or 26) years of "loyalty".
