Just found out something else: Puzzlez and I just found out that reinstalling your kit puts them in this folder too. So it's not a matter of when you bought them but when you installed them. This makes things worse.
EDIT: It seems it depend HOW you install the kit. Everything installed through the Marketplace gets installed on the appdata folder. If you install through EA app it goes in program files.
How would you install the kits through the EA app now if they're only available in the Marketplace?
IrresistibleSims the ones you bought before the change still appear in EA app so you can install them from there.
Any packs you bought through the marketplace with moola can only be installed through the marketplace.
