Yeah, that's how we figured it's supposed to work, but it's not. Mine stopped giving the cupcake and exp a few days before the rocket event came up and I think it might have only given it to me once since then. It also stopped giving me party cakes for Life of the Party 3 star rating at peoples parties. It'll go a few days and maybe give me a 1 party cake out of 4-6 parties. Even less now. I've had 6 cakes for about a week now and I haven't missed a single party and I ALWAYS get 3 star rating. It only gives like 60 simileons and no party cake. I only have 5 now since I had to use one at somebodies party. It's apparent that some peoples games are rewarding as intended and some peoples games are not. I have to be super careful about the parties I go to now because I can't waste cakes since I'm not getting any.  Never going to a sim Birthday Party or a party without gold icons again.
