Alliance name

This is a bug that has been going on for a long time but I don't remember if I had reported it or not. : -?

I create an alliance with a very good name "Enigma engine"

Then another larger alliance invites me to join.

I dissolve my alliance and switch to the other one.

After an attitude conflict with the CiC, he expelled me from the alliance.

I'm going to use my nice name "Enigma engine" again and the system drops the following message.

And no, if you look at the list of alliances you can verify that no one is using it.

  • TiberiumDawn, Tiberium.Dawn and
    -Tiberium Dawn-

would all be different alliances. Have you tried variations that are allowed.
  • It's theoretically possible that a name has been used and then the alliance disbanded.
We know already that if an alliance is disbanded they no longer appear in the Hall of Fame.
  • If an alliance has been dissolved and its name is no longer in use ...

Why can't I create another alliance with that name?

In the case that I mention, I created the alliance, I dissolved it and now I would like to re-create it but ... it won't let me. :-(
  • Why is it so? I haven't a clue!

Or it could be another alliance is using the abbreviation you wish to have. Easily checked.....
  • Ha, ha, ha, I thought it was a mistake in the game. O:-)

Yes, yes, I tried five more abbreviations and still did not allow the alliance name (mine) to be used.
  • I want to think that using variations is possible but the logical thing is to use the name you want.

    - Enigma Engine 1
    - Enigma Engine A
    - Enigma Engine Power
    - Enigma Engine Wing
    ...

But none of those names is the real one.

Imagine, GeForze instead of GeForce. :-(
  • I assume it hasn't been worked on - it is already known that some groups infiltrate others then end up disbanding them, this 'feature' would prevent them retaking the disbanded name later in the world. (Although it probably isn't the reason for the 'feature' and the explanation given by @H3rculE3 is the most likely reason.)
  • Yes, as @H3rcuI3s said it is something that takes a long time and has not been fixed yet.

It would be good to see a solution although I understand that after several years without fixing it, now it is not a priority.
