So I was just assigned this useless randomised name the first time I logged into my EA account with my email address. How can I set it to something meaningful?
Hi there. You should be able to change your account name by going to myaccount.ea.com and clicking on Edit next to Basic Information at the top.

Is there anything I could do to change my name without access to my account email? my name contains personal information that id rather not be displayed, but the email attached to my account belongs to my mother who I currently have a restraining order against. I dont even need an email change, only a name change
To change the name without access to the email address you'll need to contact EA help. If you can log in you may be able to change it anyway. Follow the instructions above in the solved section.
