Moderators don't have any extra information to any other player. They are NOT here to answer questions about the game, that is not in their role. They are here to maintain good order and civility between players and to deal with those that aren't behaving in a civilised manner according to a set of rules, laid down by EA in this case.
I do answer questions when I know, or think I know, the definitive answer. If I don't know I can often find it out by asking the developers directly. Over the last 2 weeks I've had a vacation and so have the developers.
