I myself am somewhat guilty of this. I used to have an alt that I bring to any world I join. Right now it is being deleted; It is usually of the opposite faction. If my game had a GDI, the other would be a Nod. I found it to be very resource intensive after I had my 3rd base. Basically it would take me longer to play cause I have to hunt down camps/outposts/bases and somehow equalize everything between both accounts. They'd often sit on the same rank or are near each other. Also their RP and Credits are about the same in amount.
Some players play like this (except the balancing part) because they don't know which is better. I mean GDI is better early game because of the Paladin, and Nod is better at late game because of Cobra. I would propose being able to research the opposing faction's MCV to resolve some issues with alt exploitation. With maybe a 10 to 100 times higher price tag.
