Any meeting before the WCS starts is going to be seen as favouritism no matter which group is spoken to. Any changes will also be seen as because of the meeting and denials will not be believed.
If such a meeting took place it would have to be at a time when no world was about be launched. It could not be at a time where a world involving the participants was coming to a conclusion, either in their favour or not. Again, any changes following the meeting would be misinterpreted by those not involved.
But, what do I know? Probably nothing!
Trying to get long term players involved is a good idea - it's the definition of 'long term', timing and mechanism that is the issue. It can be overcome with the will to meet.
