Unsubscribe forum thread

A question that I don't remember if it had already been asked. Sorry if it was already answered.

You see the name of a thread in the forum that seems interesting, you click on it and you subscribe to it to notify you of news in that thread. Good!

Suddenly you realize that you are not interested in following that thread, how do you do to unsubscribe?

  • If bookmark is the same thing, then click on the star that turned blue. That will turn it white again.
  • No, no, "Bookmark" is only for take note in an special place to find things quickly (https://prnt.sc/uwt94q)

But it not unsubscribe to a thread, I continues receiving alert of new messages. :-(
  • I'm at loss as i can't find how to subscribe to a thread never mind unsubscribe!

How do you subscribe to a thread?
  • Sorry @gamerdruid, the habit of expressing myself badly ...

You see a thread that seems like you can help and you enter it, from that moment every time something is written in that thread, a notification appears that someone has written something. I call that subscribing. https://prnt.sc/uwwhqh

What I am looking for is a way that it does not notify me more times that things have been written in that thread because I am no longer interested in following it. I call that unsubscribing.
  • Got it! Top right of the screen is the notification globe. http://prntscr.com/uww2hx If you place your mouse over it you see a link to 'notification preferences'.

There you can choose what type of activity you are notified about. It looks like you can't 'unsubscribe' from individual threads. However, if you use a bookmark then you can select bookmarked threads to trigger a notification. It would appear that you could then 'un-bookmark' a thread once it has run it's course or you no longer wish to follow it. (I've not tried it so It may not work that way, but logic suggests that is how it will work!).
