Upgrade queue

I would want to ask for this very helpful feature in the game. Why is it helpful? When the player has little time to wait for a certain building to be upgraded, he can put the building to be upgraded on the background on queue. Let's say you have a building that would be upgraded within the next hour but you have to leave the game before the next 20 minutes are up. This is where the queue comes in, you can only passively upgrade a maximum of 5 units/structures per base (as to prevent exploitation), like lets say an accumulator, followed by a venom, then a defensive missile squad, then the offensive one and one silo in order. This becomes useful for certain buildings that tend to be raised above the levels of other buildings, like the accumulator and silos.

  • I think something similar is (or was) available as an add-on script. It may not now work on 19.3 :(
  • Was it included in any script packs? If so, what's the name. I could have used that defunct script to upgrade the silos and accumulators in my bases (mostly accumulators for main bases). Accumulators are quite expensive as you get a lot of power if you invest in a high level one surrounded by 7 or 8 power plants.
  • It is one of the scripts broken, I think. I don't use it so don't know the script name. I don't think it was in a pack.

Cool idea however the development team over the years has frowned on automating much. They want to reward regular log ins, etc. so I'm guessing you won't see much interest in that sort of idea although if you limit it, meaning you can't set something to upgrade in 20 days or whatever that limits the automation prospects.
  • Well, this automation that I speak of deals with buildings that you want to upgrade but have to wait for something like 30 minutes to 1 hour and you have like 10 minutes left before you have to leave for like 2 to 3 hours. Maybe the queue could be like 3 upgrades long; these are for buildings like accumulators and silos, which some players level them like 5 to 6 levels above their harvesters. Also I have a question about C&C Opt, is that website somewhat like an automation/optimization? It seems a lot of players use this website to optimize their bases. The problem I see is that the website will be unavailable by December 2020. Does anyone in the community plan to shift that website to HTML 5?
  • It's not the same as C&C opt as it does not do the optimisation for you. You have to translate what you see on that site to your base. If it did it automatically, then it would be a tool that would be frowned upon.

I understand from a thread in here someone is already working on an alternative to this tool that doesn't use flash.
