I'm just like all of you except I can be mean to you here in the forums and delete your posts and stuff if you are naughty :D I'm not an EA/Envision employee so I didn't have a hand in this nor can I fix it. What I can tell you is this......the decision was not made lightly to make the change and the development team felt like they had no choice.
What I mean by that is the issue must have been causing some other, larger problems and so they had to fix it. I know that the repercussions suck and I feel your pain, I'm not active in the affected worlds but I'd be frustrated if I were all I'm saying is that I'm not a developer so I can't fully explain all of this (still hoping they will pop in here when they get a chance) but that the decision was not simply "Fix it" or "Leave it alone" or the decision probably would have been different.
