Starting a new world part way through will always lead to frustration, no matter how much funds you throw at it.
The best way is to develop skills within the 'free' scenario of the game, using up cp and rt on a regular basis. Some win worlds doing this with skill. Spending wisely to will help you progress.
It really doesn't matter how much you spend, it is the skill with which you play that will help you win. Spending large sums ($100's) may help you progress, but you still need to do that wisely.
