@OOtle5f Whilst it is possible to do that, directly addressing someone in such a way can prove counter productive. EA staff do come here to monitor but don't have specific game knowledge and EE staff come too. It is more productive to see if the issue or 'glitch' has already been reported and add a 'me too' to the existing thread and to outline the problem if it is similar but not exactly the same.
When worlds experience an issue it is often picked up by internal monitoring, although flagging it up here is also worthwhile just in case it's an issue that isn't picked up.
In conclusion, adding @ infront of a name to bring a thread to their attention isn't a technique I'd recommend.
I was thinking that in the future some problem reports may not need their own new topic and can be consolidated under fewer pre-existing headings.
Mentions and me too's can still apply as normal. Just a thought.

Sometimes, the time between the threads and them been seen by me, other moderators/champions and EA/EE staff means that consolidation can lead to confusing threads. At that point they are sometimes locked and a link put into the closed thread to the 'major' thread, the one we wish everyone to use. This hasn't happened in the AnswersHQ forum yet as it's still a newish forum for most.

For example there are no moderators only dev and ea titles. If the topics forked in to subs again there would be a (sub) moderator title maybe. Looking at classic message board platforms as a reference.
These forums are different.

Technically you are correct, there are no moderators here. However, the old moderators have extra 'rights' and can draw the attention of EA and EE staff to posts to get them merged or moved.
