Unable to use the options menu, our world (firestorm 7) isn't even on the list of the patch at the moment

The patch isn't intended to address the problem you're experiencing. It is a known issue and a world reboot is required to fix it in the short term.
However, I've just checked and FS7 seems options and subs seem to be working now.
