0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_Device_Hung

Hello, so I have a little problem, Titanfall 2 crashes completely randomly. Sometimes it takes 10 minutes, sometimes 30 and sometimes 1h or more. I already tried doing clean drivers reinstall, changing settings (antialliasing, vsync, effects quality), downclocking GPU, even cleaning my PC and putting new thermal grease. Nothing worked, crashes still exist and I can't really do anything. Hope that some of you may be able to help me. Here's also my DxDiag, thanks in advance.

Can you try to load your system with the Clean Boot and try to run the game again? Let us know the result.

    Cheers,

    Archi

    Hello @wggsYT

I can totally see why you are frustrated with this issue, going through all the troubleshooting. This crash is happening in both single and multiplayer? Can you try to perform Clean GPU drivers install? Keep us posted on this.

    Cheers,

    Archi

I did that even twice, unfortunately the problem still exists. It seems that this crash is only happening in multiplayer, especially when I die and screen gets "darker", execute titan or throw a fire star. Lowering effects setting did nothing about it.

EDIT: It is also completely random, like when I'm running across map it just crashes, seems like effects are only making it crash sooner.

Although we haven't heard yet whther a Clean Boot test helped, I always like to clarify the system requirements for card families such as the R7 200 series, of which at least four, the 240, 250, 250E, and 250XE are all below the minimum performance level.

I played 3 matches in a row without crash, guess it works for now. But does it mean that I have to perform clean boot everytime I want to play titanfall? Oh, and thank you for help, couldn't be more happy now.

PS My graphics card is AMD Radeon R9 280x, just to be clear.

Return to Microsoft's discussion of what comes AFTER the first clean boot PROVES that some incompatibility exists, with a series of followup steps to identify what that guilty item is, and remove it entirely or at least quarantine it during game play sessions.
