Checkpoints not working

I've done everything; uninstall third party anti-virus, the controlled folder access disable thing, disabling onedrive... I've been tackling with the settings and everything else for 3hrs and can't play the actual game and it's frustrating. There is nothing in the EA games file in the local disk. Its my first time playing a shooting game on PC and I was looking forward to it... can someone help me? I'm using a old laptop but the game itself runs smoothly.

Today i've verified the integrity of game files from Steam. This is giving me a headache. I really wanted to play this game...
