DirectX Repair Game Error: Cabinet Data not signed

Hello

I've had quite a few problems during the installation of Titanfall. I had to problems with Audio and Direct X, but I've found some advice on this forum on how to cope with these problems and it almost worked. After the editing of the cam_list text file and subsequent deletion of all the entries in it and also the deletion of all the CAB data in the _Installer/directx/redist folder, the Installer was able to do its job.

After the installation, I've clicked on the repair game option. The audio problems were fixed and the hissing is gone, however, I still get this DirectX error (translated from German): DirectX Setup Error: The cabinet (.cab)-Data is not signed

What can I do now to fix this problem?

Here's my DirectX data on pastebin:

    1: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/turn-user-account-control-on-off

    - Turn it off

2: Reset magic love this part , ahhh

    3: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35

Run that as admin. Then try running - game again.

Try a repair install after this however it seems bugged. ( i have recently just tested it. It seems to miss certain files like shaders etc espically with titanfall. ) - However it does prove the fix in many cases. However permissions can attack yar in the Game of things (see what i did therE) - nyway bro

    - What antivirus / firewall etc are you running?

  • I did all these things you listed, and now, when I click on repair game, this audio error appears after a while:

    Titanfall Audio Installation Failed!

Decode: Corrupt or missing data in bitstream.

    In file:"\\?\C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Titanfall\vpk\Client_mp_common.bsp.pak000_000.vpk"

    Offset 3348065355, Size 1812178

I'm using Kaspersky Anti Virus, but I turned it off, including firewall etc., during this installation and repair process.

Do I have to edit the cam file again to fix the Audio issue? Start a new repair (It already failed for the 2nd time)?

you need to run the Audio Installer as admin and just let it run. Make sure your PC is not set to goto sleep

Its inside the games DIR for life of me cant remember where ...

    Ere :

    Origin\Titanfall\bin\x64\audio_installer.exe

Source : Stole from a bugged users install cfg in error report x

Run this as admin, Check with windows power options ur PC is not gona pass out. This will install around 34gb ontop, watch out for free space.

I have no idea , but in my casual rig. I got round this requirement, /shrug , quit out far as i can remember. Then this is casual rig, anarachy anything could happen. Im reloading my gamer setup atm well tweakin one for 8.1 - I have a drive just for BF4 + Titanfall. Another 150 gbs for other lessor games , the ones that dont have a War going on gosh /D

Hope the fix works, please let me know how it goes, if it dont and what else u try in gap. =)

  • I can't run the audio_installer, even as an administrator. This message always pops up:

Expecting one CAM task list parameter and possibly options. Recognized options are '-ro', '-fake', '-noquick', and '-dump'.

On a different note: why is origin per default in my x86 programs folder instead of the normal programs folder (x64)? My system is running at 64bit, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Re-downloaded the game now and I'm still getting these directx and audio error messages...

  • I have tried the repair game option countless times already, it's always the same outcome. Audio error. I really don't know what else to do, if only I knew that I would have to have a degree in computer science to install this game, I wouldn't have bought it. This installation process is really bad for my mental health.
